Honduras San Sebastián Renan Perez

Pungent burned sugars, sugar-coated almond, celery soda, dried apple, full-bodied, chocolate roast flavors

This coffee comes from a small, 2 hectare farm called Finca La Lagunita. This family farm is run by Renan Perez and his 2 sons, and has been in the family for many decades. Altitude in this area is on the higher side for Honduras, Renan’s farm sitting between 1630 and 1700 meters.

Like most of the neighbors in La Laguna Cubite, where his farm is located, Renan’s farm is planted in disease resistant cultivars like IHCAFE 90 and Icatu, but also in older cultivars like Pacas. (this may account for some of the sweet, herbal flavors tasted in the cup – especially lighter roasts).
