Burundi Ngozi Gatakuza #13

Green Apple, Caramel, Vanilla, Raspberry, Plum, and Mulling Spice with a nice, syrupy body.

This coffee gets its name from the Gatakuza Washing Station in the Ngozi Province of Burundi. The number 13 refers to the lot number which was rated the best from this harvest. The cherries are double fermented before drying on raised beds. This washing station soaks the pulped cherries twice for 12-18 hours in fermentation tanks with additional rinsing and a 12-18 hour drying phase in between. The beans are then sun dried on raised beds. The process lasts about 3 weeks until the best moisture is achieved for transport. Usually, Burundi coffees have an amazing tart taste like green apples and this one is no different. 15/16 screen.
