What is the most expensive coffee in the world? If you asked Google, it’s still Kopi Luwak. But if you ask coffee drinker in Hong Kong, we will all say “Geisha”. A cup can easily go beyond $100. Auction lot of Panama Gesha can sell as high as US$1,000/LB. This variety is definitely the most expensive coffee in the world today.

But as the variety has gained more attentions from different producers around the world, Gesha today can be more affordable. LCC has soured 3 high quality Gesha coffee from Ethiopia, Guatemala and Colombia, and still only selling at $350. The Trio set has 3 bags of 100g coffee, learning card and brew note packed in a gift set, shipping fee included.

If you don’t know the story of the Gesha cultivar, it is an old coffee type from Ethiopia that was brought to an experimental coffee garden in Costa Rica years ago as a specimen sample. It was distributed to a few farms for testing on small plots, but not much was thought of it until one of these, Esmeralda in Panama, separated it from the other cultivars and entered it in the national competition. It was so outrageously different, with fruited and floral character like lemonade fruit juice.
