Pu’er tea flavor, raisin, caramel, chocolate, plum liquorice

Ripe cherries are harvested by hand from nearby villages in Paliang, Menglian County in Yunnan. The cherry is pulped to remove the outer skin and flesh, with the beans then fermented for 12-18 hours. The beans are then run through density channels before being spread out on concrete drying patios for approximately 10 days.
Dongka is a family-run farm and washing station with over 20 years of experience in most commercial coffee production. It now produces some of the most consistent speciality-grade washed coffees in the Menglian region.
In 2019, Indochina’s origin partners, Yunnan Coffee Traders (YCT) helped to make modifications to the washing station with the aim of producing higher-scoring speciality grade coffees at larger volumes.
Indochina has worked in partnership with YCT since we first began importing coffees to the UK in 2016. As a pioneer of the Chinese speciality coffee industry in the Menglian County of Yunnan, YCT operates farming, mill, research, and training facilities. Its mission is three-fold:
1) create opportunities for Yunnan farmers to engage in sustainable production practices
2) employ industry best-practices for sourcing, processing, wholesaling, and exporting coffees
3) supply coffee to importers and roasters who care about sustainability, traceability, and transparency
