Sumatra ACEH Mandheling G1

This is a high quality Mandeling sourced from small hold farmers in ACEH region of Sumatra. One the major reason that Sumatra can grow high quality speciality coffee is soil. In the northern part of Sumatra, in particular ACEH and Gayo area, soil are mostly volcanic, containing rich minerals.

In Sumatra, coffee cherry are picked manually. Only ripped cherry will be picked. Then will go through the traditional processing called Wet Hulling, which is only be found in Indonesia. Such processing is believed to be the reason why Mandeling usually carry a rich body and produces lot of creama when brewing.
