Taste notes: berry accent notes, grapefruit hint of acidity, toasted almond sweetness.

This Guatemala is from Huehuetenango highlands (Peña Blanca), one of the best known growing region for specialty coffee in the whole Central America. It’s sourced by Sweet Maria’s team under the “Proyecto Xinabajul” small holder project in the region. This lot is come from Villatoro family who have been growing coffee in the regions on multiple generations and working with SM for since 2013.

Guatemala is my favorite origins among the Central Americans (others are Mexico, Hondorus, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama). It’s famous for for it’s fine control of the washed process as well as caring of trees. Varieties of beans from Guatemala will never make your bored. Antigua and Huehuetenango are my 2 favorite growing regions.
