dark chocolate, toasted nuts, brown sugar

About This Coffee
We are pleased to introduce Indonesia Sumatra Aceh Gayo Mountain — a rich, traditional Sumatran coffee that captures the bold character of the Gayo Highlands.
The Gayo region in Aceh, located around Lake Tawar and Takengon, is one of Indonesia’s most respected coffee origins. Smallholder farmers from the Gayonese ethnic group grow coffee at elevations between 1,200 – 1,600 meters on volcanic soils under shade trees. These highland conditions, combined with the signature Giling Basah (wet-hulling) process unique to Sumatra, create the heavy body, low acidity, and complex earthy-sweet profile that Gayo coffees are famous for.

Flavor Profile
Cupping Notes: Deep dark chocolate and toasted nuts lead the cup, supported by notes of caramel, brown sugar, and subtle herbal spice. The wet-hulling process delivers a full, syrupy body with low acidity and a long, satisfying finish reminiscent of dark chocolate and warm earth.
Recommended Roast: Medium to Medium-Dark (Agtron #60-45). Excellent as espresso or French press where its boldness shines.
